Andy finds that business owners can sometimes benefit from one-to-one mentoring support as a personal confidante. More often, the leader requires assistance with developing leadership skills in their senior management team. In the first instance, Andy works closely with the business leader to define the success criteria for any leadership programme. Once this has been determined, he will develop a package of services that is personalised to the requirements of the organisation. The coaching process is framed and aligned to the business objectives. Andy works closely with executives in the team to achieve meaningful behavioural change and aligns everyone to the business leader’s objectives. His close collaboration with the business leader often leads to support in other areas of corporate governance.

Challenges within large companies are often a result of poor communication. Departments within the organisation may not always be aligned to a common goal. At times, people may be operating within their own silos, which results in the whole organisation not pulling together in the same direction. At the outset, Andy determines from the business leader and the senior team what success might look like. He will invest time in understanding the core values and culture of the organisation. Once this is clear, he develops a package of coaching services that is framed and aligned to the business objectives. The programme includes a robust assessment of each executive’s approach to leadership. This leads to the executive being asked to develop specific and measurable goals to be achieved by the end of the programme.
